Attorney David Copple is proud to have been honored by Northeast Community College. The ceremony was held last month at the Lifelong Learning Center, which is located on the Norfolk campus of Northeast. Mr. Copple and another individual were recognized for their significant service and contributions to the college.
Mr. Copple received the honorary title of Foundation Board of Directors Emeritus. This distinction is reserved for those people who have served on the College Foundation Board for a minimum of one term, and who have made significant contributions to the Foundation's progress. Mr. Copple joined the Foundation Board in 1993. From 2002 to 2006, he served as president.
During the time Mr. Copple was serving as president, the Chuck M. Pohlman Ag Complex was opened in 2004 after a fundraising campaign. Another accomplishment during this time was the development of the McIntosh Legacy Scholarship program.
Mr. Copple is proud of what he has contributed during his time on the Foundation Board. Of his service, Mr. Copple says, "it was a humbling honor to receive the recognition and serve on the NECC Foundation Board."
