In 2015, traffic deaths rose by 7.7%, the largest single-year jump in 50 years. Nearly 36,000 people died in traffic accidents in 2015, with the largest increase in fatalities among males aged 46 to 50. However, males aged 16 to 25 and over the age of 65 were responsible for a majority of the fatal auto accidents in 2015.
The SlideShare below highlights some of the risky driving behaviors that have led to this increase in fatal auto accidents. All stats are from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.
